Robot Mowing
What Is Robot Mowing, and Why Is It a Better Fit Than Weekly Lawn Care?
Robot mowing uses a fully electric, GPS guided mower that stays on your property and mows in small, frequent passes, typically daily, rather than the once a week visit a traditional lawn care crew provides. The result is a lawn that stays at a consistent, manicured height year round, with small blades on a spinning disc that cut quietly and without the scalping or clumping that a weekly mow can cause. Innovative Outdoors is currently the only company offering this service in the Duluth area.
For customers who want to own their equipment outright, we sell and install automated mowers directly on your property, handling setup and getting the unit running with GPS guided mowing and striping calibrated to your lawn's shape and boundaries.
Our most popular option is the full maintenance package, paid across 6 monthly payments each mowing season. This includes ongoing maintenance of the unit, weed whipping in areas the mower can't reach, and off season storage, so you're not responsible for anything beyond enjoying a consistently mowed lawn.
Each mower uses GPS technology to navigate and stripe your lawn in any direction, cutting in small, frequent passes that keep grass at a consistent height. Unlike traditional mowing equipment, these units can operate in wet conditions without the turf damage a standard mower would cause.
Between seasons, we store your unit indoors rather than leaving it exposed to a Duluth winter. This is included as part of the full maintenance package, along with the ongoing upkeep needed to keep the mower running at full performance the following season.
Robot mowing performs best on larger, open grass areas, including large family homes, HOA common areas, sports fields, golf courses, and cemeteries. If your property includes significant open lawn space, robot mowing is worth considering as an alternative to a weekly mowing contract.
Our robot mowers are fully electric and stay on your property, using GPS technology to navigate and stripe your lawn in any direction. They cut with small blades on a spinning disc, running in frequent passes, typically daily, rather than a once a week schedule.
If purchased outright, units typically run $3,200 to $6,100 for most residential lawns under 2.5 acres, depending on grade and accessibility, plus an installation fee around $1,000 depending on complexity. Our service model runs $325 to $650 per month for the 6 month mowing season, depending on travel time, weed whipping needs, and lawn size.
The full maintenance package, our most popular option, includes ongoing maintenance of the unit, weed whipping in areas the mower can’t reach, and off season indoor storage, paid in 6 monthly payments each season.
